1915: UNITED STATES. Factory guards shoot twenty strikers in Roosevelt, New Jersey but they were probably asking for it.
1915: UNITED STATES. The U.S. Supreme Court once again does its bit for corporate interests when it upholds so-called "yellow dog" contracts, which forbid membership in labor unions.
1915-1934: HAITI. U.S. Marines invade Haiti and impose a constitution on the helpless nation, seizing control of customs collection for American bankers. Thousands of peasants are forced off their land which is given to U.S. corporations. Forced labor (otherwise known as slavery) is imposed.
A peasant uprising against the U.S. occupation is led by Charlemagne Peralte. Over a period of two years, U.S. Marines massacre fifteen thousand black Haitians. The freedom movement is crushed when Peralte is captured and murdered in November 1919 and his body put on display.
U.S. Marines occupy Haiti until 1934. During the occupation, the U.S puppet president of Haiti is quite rightly barred from the U.S. Officers' Club in Port-au-Prince, because he is black.
Think of it, niggers speaking French!

1915: UNITED STATES. Dr. Joseph Goldberger, a U.S. Public Health doctor in Mississippi attempts to deliberately induce the deficiency disease pellagra in twelve prison inmates whose "consent" has been obtained by promising them pardons.
1915: UNITED STATES. The Comstock Law forbids the distribution of birth control information in the U.S. Family planning advocate Margaret Sanger's husband is jailed for distributing one of his wife's pamphlets. At the time, Sanger herself had fled the land of the free to avoid persecution, sorry, prosecution, for advocating birth control.
1915: UNITED STATES. The crucial role of Hollywood in creating the web of illusions, delusions, fantasies, propaganda and outright lies which most Americans believe to be reality gets off to a perfect start with D.W. Griffith's blockbuster, The Birth of A Nation.
The Ku Klux Klan, in their white sheets and pointy hats, are the good guys, and sex-crazed black slaves are the bad guys. In order to keep the inferior races out of the movie biz, the sex-crazed "niggers" are portrayed by right thinking honkies with boot polish on their faces.
President Woodrow “Making The World Safe For Hypocrisy” Wilson was a big fan of the Klan and of Griffith’s racist propaganda. Wilson wrote in his History of the American People, "The white men were roused by a mere instinct of self-preservation....until at last there had sprung into existence a great Ku Klux Klan, a veritable empire of the South, to protect the Southern country."
After seeing Birth of a Nation at a special White House screening, Wilson gushed, "It is like writing history with lightning, and my only regret is that it is all so terribly true."
1915-1916: UNITED STATES. After the British, French and Germans have just about exhausted and bankrupted themselves in the Great War, the U.S. ruling class wants to be in at the end to carve up the spoils and plans are made to augment the pro-war propaganda campaign being carried out by the elite's so-called National Security League.Henry P. Davison, a JP Morgan partner, sets up the Aerial Coast Patrol, searching the skies for nonexistent German planes. Bernard M. Baruch, a long-time associate of the Guggenheims, finances, in cooperation with the Morgans, the so-called Businessmen's Training Camp in Plattsburgh, New York, designed to push for universal military training and preparations for war.
The Navy League is created by J.P. Morgan, George Westinghouse, Charles Schwab and John Jacob Astor to brainwash the public and Congress into believing that a vastly expanded U.S. Navy is needed to repel the “Hun”. Congressman Clyde H. Tavenner points out that, "the Navy League, upon close examination would appear to be little more than a branch office of the
house of J. P. Morgan & Company, and a general sales promotion bureau for the various armor and munition makers.”
While the Navy League and the other propaganda outfits successfully scare the American people, Woodrow Wilson signs a bill appropriating $662 million for the U.S. military, the largest amount ever spent for military purposes by any nation at peace in world history. Senator Robert LaFollette, in opposing the transfer of such a vast amount of cash from American taxpayers to the Carnegies, Duponts, Morgans, Astors and their clubmates, says, “I object, Mr. President, to a game, a plan, a conspiracy to force upon this country a big army and a big navy, to use the Treasury of the country, and if need be the lives of its people, to make good the foreign speculation of a few unscrupulous masters of finance."
1915: HAITI. U.S. Marines attack Caco resistance fighters attempting to end the illegal U.S. occupation of their country, slaughtering two hundred people and leaving not a single human being alive. Total casualties among the valiant Marines? One Marine was struck by a rock and lost two teeth. Leader of the massacre, Major Smedley Butler, says that his heroic troops hunted the Haitians "like pigs".
1915: UNITED STATES. The British ocean liner Lusitania is sunk by a German U-boat killing 1,198 people including 128 Americans. The sinking provokes outrage in the U.S. and sets the stage for the U.S. entry into World War One. In fact, as both the American and British governments were well aware, the Lusitania was carrying more than six millions rounds of ammunition, making it a legitimate military target.
And far from being a sneak attack, as Americans were repeatedly told, the German government had published warnings to passengers in forty newspapers in the U.S. prior to the Lusitania sailing.
1915-ongoing: UNITED STATES. The Morgan banking interests, which own a huge proportion of the steel, shipbuilding, armaments and financial industries in the U.S., take control of the U.S. media. Morgan recruits twelve top executives in the American newspaper business and has them select the most influential newspapers in the U.S. and identify which ones must bought off in order to effectively control the policy of the daily press and therefore the ideas and beliefs of Americans.
The Morgan team decides that it is necessary to acquire control of only twenty five major papers to accomplish their goal. Morgan effectively buys editorial control of the papers, to be paid for on a monthly basis, and installs its own editor at each paper to ensure that all editorial content promotes a point of view which is beneficial to Morgan interests.
There was no need to buy Time Magazine. Morgan had owned a big chunk of that almost from the beginning.
Of course it's a free press, you're free to buy it, if you've got the money.
1915: UNITED STATES. A Jew, Leo Frank, is accused of the rape and murder of a girl who worked in his factory in Georgia. As usual, sensational newspaper accounts incite racist hatred and inflame public opinion against Frank. After he is convicted at a dubious trial, Frank's appeals all the way to the Supreme Court are denied. When the governor of Georgia commutes Frank's death sentence, a mob calling itself the Knights of Mary Phagan kidnaps Frank from prison and lynches him. Try to guess how many of Frank's killers were tried for murder.
1915-1916: MEXICO. The U.S. repeatedly invades Mexico, sometimes penetrating several hundred miles with a force which eventually numbers almost 11,000 under "Black Jack" Pershing. Pershing is a good choice to keep the inferior races in Mexico in line. He is a mass murderer and genocide artist of some accomplishment. His triumphs as an American soldier include the Wounded Knee Massacre.
The pretext for the invasions of Mexico is "chasing bandits" but the real reason is to interfere in the Mexican Revolution to make sure it comes out right and them darn Mexicans don't get control of their own country or its resources.
1916: UNITED STATES. Two steamers carrying members of the International Workers of the World (IWW) are attacked by a mob in Everett, Washington, under the misapprehension that the IWW members are anarchists. In the chaos, at least seven people are killed and forty seven wounded although the real figures may be much higher. Needless to say, this little episode doesn't to much to advance the efforts of the IWW to organize lumber workers in Washington state.
1916: UNITED STATES. Even while Woodrow “Making The World Safe For Hypocrisy” Wilson is still supposedly committed to keeping the U.S. out of The Great War, the merchants of death are doing alright anyway under the guise of “preparedness”. Congressman Clyde H. Tavenner states that four American corporations "constituting the war trust have received Army and Navy contracts aggregating $175 million," and that "Army and Navy officials have generously paid the war trust from twenty to sixty per cent more than the same supplies could have been manufactured for in government arsenals." Who knew that Halliburton was around back then?
1916: UNITED STATES. Woodrow "Making The World Safe For Hypocrisy" Wilson is re-elected on a platform which makes much of the fact that he has kept the U.S. out of The Great War (except, of course, as financier and arms supplier). Barely, five months after his re-election, Wilson will drag the U.S. into the war.
1916-1917: UNITED STATES. Local police stand by idly and watch as strikebreakers hired by mill owner Neil Jamison attack picketing strikers in Everett, Washington. When the strikers retaliate, the police decide it's time to intervene. Vigilantes force Industrial Workers of the World speakers to run a gauntlet, whipping, tripping and kicking them. Some of the victims are impaled on a spiked fence. When the IWW calls a meeting to discuss the attacks, members are fired on. Seven are killed and fifty wounded.
1916-1924: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. The U.S. invades and occupies the Dominican Republic, long a virtual colony of New York bankers and American sugar interests, after the Dominican president refuses U.S. demands to appoint American citizens to senior government posts in the government and to replace the Dominican army with a U.S.-trained and indoctrinated "national" guard.
The U.S. military seizes Dominican banks and customs houses and places large segments of the Dominican economy, including land and transportation in the hands of American corporations, displacing hundreds of thousands of Dominican peasants.
In the always paramount interest of spreading liberty and democracy throughout the world, the U.S. dissolves the Dominican legislature, imposes martial law and imprisons hundreds of political prisoners.
The U.S. prohibits Dominicans from owning weapons and censors news and information, forbidding the publication of anything deemed to be “anti-American” by the illegal occupiers. Can't be havin' no free speech in our occupied countries can we?
